About the position

The Senior Digital Operations Analyst at Mayo Clinic plays a crucial role in leading operational support for data products and services within the Enterprise Information Division (EID). This position is designed for an individual who can support business partners in finding, evaluating, and utilizing EID data and analytics products effectively. The Senior Operations Analyst is responsible for executing test cases, performing detailed data analysis, and documenting requirements to ensure that the operational needs of the organization are met. This role also involves leading data mapping activities, conducting peer reviews, and generating communication and change management plans to support the implementation of data products. In this position, the Senior Operations Analyst ensures that best-in-class product operations are maintained, which includes effective product implementation and ongoing operational support for Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), pilots, proof of concepts, and mature products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business strategy and planning principles, operational knowledge, and analytical skills. They will collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize clinical services and improve operational efficiencies. This role is pivotal in leveraging data to identify opportunities for operational and process improvements, supporting clinical programs, and ensuring the effective deployment and usage of digital health products. Key responsibilities include applying advanced systems and analytical thinking methodologies to tackle complex operational challenges, utilizing operational analysis tools to evaluate processes and outcomes, and providing strategic insights and recommendations. The Senior Operations Analyst will also extract and analyze data to support key clinical programs and high-level operational decisions, mentor other operations analysts, and develop comprehensive operational support strategies. Additionally, they will create and maintain advanced data metrics and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Collaboration with product and operations leaders is essential to coordinate the implementation of new products and ensure effective communication between clinical practice and product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational support for data products and services within EID.
  • Support business partners in finding, evaluating, and using EID data and analytics products.
  • Execute test cases and perform detailed data analysis.

  • Mentor operations analysts and other team members.
  • Leverage data to identify and implement operational and process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, document, implement, and support knowledge management for operational support strategies.
  • Create and maintain advanced data metrics and dashboards to monitor KPIs.
  • Collaborate with product and operations leaders to oversee the implementation of new products.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical practice and product teams to ensure effective communication.
  • Support product validation through clinical and administrative workflow testing.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of patient, care team, and end-user feedback.
  • Develop and execute cross-functional action plans to resolve identified issues.
  • Analyze and monitor KPIs to optimize clinical service adoption and utilization.
  • Develop and maintain guidelines, procedures, and support documentation.
  • Provide training and communication on program changes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support and oversee device configuration and logistics.
  • Process 3rd party purchase orders and invoices, monitor cost center charges, and complete comparative analysis of spending vs planned budgets.
  • Monitor and report on 3rd party compliance with service level agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, statistics, health care, or related field and 4+ years of relevant analyst role experience, OR High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of business strategy and operational planning principles with minimal guidance.
  • Operational knowledge and expertise working with product teams.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of operational analysis methodologies and tools.
