About the position

As a Senior Digital Product Management Analyst at Pearson, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education through the integration of Generative AI technologies. In this position, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and execution of AI products within the Higher Education division, ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities. Your work will involve engaging directly with customers to gather insights and validate product concepts, thereby fostering a customer-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle. You will lead the integration of generative AI into both new and existing products, ensuring that these technologies are applied innovatively and effectively. This role requires you to drive rapid prototyping and validation of new product ideas, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to iterate and refine based on user feedback. Additionally, you will conduct market research to stay informed about current trends and identify further applications of generative AI in the education sector. Leveraging data analytics will be crucial in informing product decisions, tracking performance, and optimizing user experiences. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work alongside Engineering, User Experience Design, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure the successful execution of the product strategy. You will also be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new AI-driven products, which includes positioning, messaging, pricing, and distribution channels. This position reports to the Director of Product Management in the Higher Education division, making it a critical role in Pearson's mission to transform education through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on a strategic vision for AI products in Higher Ed, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather insights, validate product concepts, and drive customer-centric decision-making throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Lead the integration of generative AI technologies into new and existing products, ensuring innovative and impactful applications.
  • Drive the rapid prototyping and validation of new product ideas, working closely with cross-functional teams to iterate and refine based on user feedback.
  • Conduct market research and stay abreast of current trends to identify opportunities for further applications of generative AI across the education sector.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform product decisions, track performance, and optimize user experiences.
  • Work closely with Engineering, User Experience Design, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of the product strategy.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with cross-functional partners for new AI-driven products, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and distribution channels.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in product management roles, with a proven track record of successfully leading and launching new products or services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of generative AI, machine learning, and related technologies, including their applications, limitations, and potential impact on business strategy.
  • Strong skills in customer discovery, empathy, and human-centered design, with a demonstrated ability to understand and address the needs of learners and educators.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to inform decision-making and measure the success of AI initiatives.
  • Experience in early-stage product development, including prototyping, user testing, and iterating on feedback.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and concepts to diverse stakeholders and customers.
