About the position

Pearson is seeking a Senior Digital Product Management Analyst to lead the product strategy for Generative AI in Higher Education. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of education by leveraging the latest advancements in AI technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Product Management and will be responsible for driving early-stage innovation and prototyping of AI-driven products. The position requires a dynamic individual with a passion for education and a strong background in generative AI, data fluency, and customer discovery. In this role, you will collaborate on a strategic vision for AI products in Higher Education, ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities. Engaging directly with customers will be essential to gather insights, validate product concepts, and drive customer-centric decision-making throughout the product development lifecycle. You will lead the integration of generative AI technologies into both new and existing products, ensuring that applications are innovative and impactful. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving rapid prototyping and validation of new product ideas, working closely with cross-functional teams to iterate and refine based on user feedback. Conducting market research and analysis will be crucial to identify further opportunities for generative AI applications in the education sector. You will leverage data analytics to inform product decisions, track performance, and optimize user experiences. Collaboration with Engineering, User Experience Design, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Sales, and Marketing will be key to executing the product strategy successfully. Finally, you will develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new AI-driven products, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and distribution channels.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on a strategic vision for AI products in Higher Ed, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather insights, validate product concepts, and drive customer-centric decision-making throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Lead the integration of generative AI technologies into new and existing products, ensuring innovative and impactful applications.
  • Drive the rapid prototyping and validation of new product ideas, working closely with cross-functional teams to iterate and refine based on user feedback.
  • Conduct market research and stay abreast of current trends to identify opportunities for further applications of generative AI across the education sector.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform product decisions, track performance, and optimize user experiences.
  • Work closely with Engineering, User Experience Design, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of the product strategy.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with cross-functional partners for new AI-driven products, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and distribution channels.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in product management roles, with a proven track record of successfully leading and launching new products or services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of generative AI, machine learning, and related technologies, including their applications, limitations, and potential impact on business strategy.
  • Strong skills in customer discovery, empathy, and human-centered design, with a demonstrated ability to understand and address the needs of learners and educators.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to inform decision-making and measure the success of AI initiatives.
  • Experience in early-stage product development, including prototyping, user testing, and iterating on feedback.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and concepts to diverse stakeholders and customers.
