About the position

The Digital Product Senior Manager is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the vision and execution of multiple strategic initiatives within the wealth management sector. This position requires a deep understanding of digital product management, particularly in the context of financial services. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with business segment product leaders and UX teams to define Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and ensure that all features are compliant with legal, risk, and regulatory standards. The role involves engaging with various stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, which will inform the development of features that enhance customer experiences. In this role, the Senior Manager will identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement through data analytics and customer feedback. They will conduct industry benchmarking to compare the bank's offerings with those of competitors and fintech companies. The Senior Manager will be responsible for defining Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for initiatives, building roadmaps, and managing the technology book of work to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints. They will lead discussions with Solution Architects and UX leads to understand trade-offs and their impact on customer experience, driving cross-functional teams towards common goals. The Senior Manager may also oversee a team of Digital Product Managers and Analysts, guiding them in feature definition, acceptance criteria, and agile delivery processes. They will work with external vendors when necessary and partner with implementation teams to ensure seamless rollout of initiatives. Performance measurement against expectations will be a key responsibility, requiring the Senior Manager to revisit strategies and modify approaches as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement using data analytics and customer feedback.
  • Understand complex processes and systems in-depth for responsible transactions/experiences.
  • Conduct industry benchmarking and experience comparison with other banks and fintech capabilities.
  • Define Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for initiatives.
  • Build a roadmap for initiatives to deliver on business outcomes.
  • Define EPICs, features, and MVPs to deliver on defined OKRs.
  • Have an end-to-end understanding of initiatives and their fit within the Digital and technology ecosystem.
  • Lead in feature definition and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage technology book of work, drive prioritization discussions, and ensure budget alignment.
  • Manage digital and technology work related to regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with colleagues to develop hypotheses about root causes and collaborate on enhancement roadmaps.
  • Lead discussions with Solution Architects and UX leads, understanding trade-offs impacting customer experience.
  • Work with Legal, Risk, and Compliance for feature approval.
  • Drive cross-functional teams towards common goals across business, design, and technology.
  • Work with agile teams to iterate and build, focusing on prioritizing business value.
  • Improve speed to market for high-value features.
  • Work with external vendors when appropriate.
  • Partner with implementation teams for flawless initiative rollouts.
  • Measure performance against expectations and modify strategies as needed.
  • May manage a team of Digital Product Managers and/or Analysts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of Online/Mobile Digital Experience or Digital project delivery experience.
  • Experience leading Agile Delivery teams.
  • Experience with Financial Services, Banking, Products, etc.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading teams (5-10 members), user testing, and data analysis to improve customer experiences.
  • Digital product management or delivery experience in wealth management platforms, advisor-facing experiences, portfolio management technology, and private banking solutions.
  • Experience with customer segmentation and driving digital strategy for high net worth clients.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with the Software Delivery Lifecycle.
  • Experience managing digital product managers.
  • Understanding and experience with Fintech solutions including payments, deposit originations, lending originations, servicing.
  • Experience with vendor management.
  • Experience with desktop and mobile web, mobile apps, and alerts.
  • User-centered design and usability expertise.
  • Self-starter who develops plans and is committed to hitting delivery dates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor.
  • Ability to develop working relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
