About the position

The Senior Digital Product Manager at GlaxoSmithKline is a leadership role focused on driving the design and delivery of data-driven omnichannel experiences for the company's digital ecosystem. This position involves owning the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Continuum Design System & UI Framework, which supports over 80 external-facing websites for the US Commercial business unit. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure successful product releases and continuous optimization based on user feedback and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements in alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and concept through to launch and iteration.
  • Work closely with engineering, UX, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery of high-quality digital product releases.
  • Serve as Go/No Go decision maker on product releases.
  • Understand customer needs and pain points through research, user feedback, and data analysis, translating insights into actionable product requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure alignment on product goals and drive product adoption.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries.
  • Use analytics and metrics to measure product performance and user engagement, continuously optimizing the product based on data insights.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Prioritize product features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer value.
  • Manage the product backlog and ensure clarity and alignment on priorities.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and signoff of product deliverables from UX and Engineering teams.
  • Develop communication material, value props, and high-level strategic justification for the Continuum product.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in digital product management, design systems, web technology, and user experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Design, Marketing, or Business.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Front-end Developer, or UX Designer for external facing digital products.
  • Experience creating, executing and evolving a digital product roadmap.
  • Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and their integration into product development processes.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools such as JIRA or Aha!
  • Experience with Figma design software.
  • Experience with web technologies such as REACT, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with UX/UI principles and best practices.
  • Experience defining and tracking success metrics and using data tools for support analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experienced in advocating for the needs of customers and users, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with designing and/or building pharma HCP and consumer website experiences.
  • Experience with enterprise, multi-brand design systems.
  • Experience with modern design system platforms, such as Knapsack, Zero Height, or Supernova.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with building digital products involving regulatory requirements, and adept at working with legal, compliance and regulatory teams.
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Familiarity with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Experience with A/B testing and user research methodologies.
  • Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and driving continuous improvement.
