About the position

As a Senior Digital Revenue Accountant at Docusign, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles and systems to enhance the efficiency of the revenue team's financial reporting processes. This role emphasizes automation and operational controls within the digital revenue stream, contributing to system implementations, SOX compliance, and audit support. You will work closely with various teams to drive improvements in revenue processes and support special projects under the guidance of the Digital Revenue Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and drive automation efforts for credit card and system reconciliations related to our digital business
  • Participate actively in monthly and quarterly close activities including preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
  • Assist in providing audit support for control and substantive testing
  • Implement and improve internal controls and prepare control documentation for revenue-related processes
  • Collaborate with Financial Reporting, GL, and Business Process teams to drive operational efficiencies and best practices in revenue processes
  • Support the Digital Revenue Accounting Manager with special projects, including system and tool implementation and improving internal processes and controls

Requirements

  • Basic BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • CPA certified or in the process of attaining the CPA
  • Experience recognizing and accurately recording revenue in accordance with US GAAP
  • 3+ years of revenue experience working in, or auditing, a technology company
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, and complex excel formulas
  • Experience driving projects and automation efforts

  • Experience with Oracle, Zuora, RevPro, and Alteryx
  • Experience in billing including handling close of periods, data transfer between systems
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization and cross-functionally

  • Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
