About the position

As a Senior Digital Strategist specializing in SEO and Performance Media at Vaco, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital marketing strategies for our agency clients. This position requires a deep understanding of performance digital marketing, particularly in SEO and paid media, to develop comprehensive marketing plans that drive results. You will be responsible for conducting competitive analyses, setting clear objectives, and outlining actionable steps to achieve client goals. Your expertise will be crucial in engaging with stakeholders, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and presenting tailored marketing proposals and briefs to clients and prospects. In this role, you will create strategic SEO and paid media plans that are customized for individual projects, ensuring that each strategy aligns with the client's unique needs and market position. You will manage the SEO content workflow and effectively lead team members to ensure that all content is optimized for search engines and meets the highest quality standards. Collaboration is key in this position; you will work closely with the paid media lead and the CEO to refine and enhance paid digital strategies and processes, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service and results. Your leadership experience will be essential as you guide your team and projects, fostering an environment of creativity and innovation. You will leverage your strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed, data-driven decisions that will impact the success of our marketing initiatives. This position is remote, but you must be within a commutable distance to Jersey City for occasional in-person meetings, allowing for effective collaboration and communication with your team and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans for agency clients and prospects, including competitive analysis, clear objectives, and actionable steps.
  • Engage with stakeholders, respond to RFPs, and present marketing proposals and briefs to clients and prospects.
  • Create strategic SEO and paid media plans tailored to individual projects.
  • Manage SEO content workflow and team members effectively.
  • Collaborate with the paid media lead and CEO to refine paid digital strategies and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least 8 years in performance digital marketing, encompassing SEO and paid media.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams or projects, preferably within an agency or in-house role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and web analytics platforms.
  • Experience in the healthcare vertical is advantageous.
  • Must be within a commutable distance to Jersey City for occasional in-person meetings.
