The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is seeking a Direct Marketing Communications Senior Specialist who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day production activities of direct response solicitations for Direct Mail. This role involves reviewing all components of final campaigns from the creative brief stage to the final packages, ensuring adherence to brand standards, copy accuracy, and interfacing with various teams including direct response, communications, and marketing, as well as external agencies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the organization by ensuring that all direct mail campaigns are executed effectively and efficiently, contributing to the overall mission of honoring and empowering our nation's veterans. In this position, the Senior Specialist will manage the production schedule tracker for integrated donor communications programs, which includes overseeing creative, brand standards, art, coding of campaigns, and copy. They will assign vendors to implement integrated donor campaigns, focusing on scheduling and creative trafficking, and managing mail dates to avoid loss of potential revenue in Direct Mail, Online, and Monthly Giving solicitations. The role also requires editing Direct Mail copy to ensure it adheres to brand guidelines and monitoring control package metrics with vendors to evaluate results and make necessary adjustments to future campaigns. Additionally, the Senior Specialist will develop direct response fundraising best practices in collaboration with a copywriting agency, create a WWP story map and testing plans, and maintain proper storage and organization for printed samples and digital copies of completed direct mail campaigns. They will provide recommendations to the communications team on national campaign changes and assist with recruitment guidance for warriors featured in campaigns. The role also involves implementing marketing materials utilizing data from multiple departments, creating weekly status memos, managing a full-service agency to ensure mail dates are met, and coordinating budget approvals for invoices and quotes. Overall, this position is integral to driving direct mail revenue and enhancing the organization's outreach efforts.
