In this role, you will lead the Brand Marketing team and oversee all brand marketing activities including brand strategy & governance, content marketing, creative & events (the latter also operating as shared services). You will be responsible for leading the development of Wiley's brand strategy, owning the implementation of integrated brand marketing programs aligned with Wiley's objectives and target markets. You will define and manage Wiley's brand positioning, messaging, and voice across all channels and touchpoints to ensure consistency and coherence. You will work closely with the Communications team to build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage and press mentions. Monitoring industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics will be essential to identify opportunities for brand differentiation and innovation. You will track, analyze, and report on the performance of brand marketing activities, leveraging data and insights to optimize strategies and tactics. Budget management will be a key responsibility, as you will manage budgets, resources, and external agencies/vendors effectively to maximize ROI and achieve objectives within established timelines and goals. As a leader, you will mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals across multiple disciplines, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial to ensure alignment and integration of brand messaging and initiatives.
