About the position

The Senior Director, Business System Owner at Spectrum Enterprise is responsible for maximizing the impact and value of the National Enterprise Order System (NEOS). This role focuses on implementing a consistent methodology for the software development lifecycle, partnering with various teams to enhance service delivery and client experience. The position involves leading a team of Product Managers and Product Owners to translate business needs into actionable requirements, ensuring a productive and continuously improving user experience on the platform.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage a consistent methodology for the software development lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical partners.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including standards and documentation.
• Lead a team of Product Managers and Product Owners to translate business needs into requirements.
• Develop a strategic vision and product roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate change requests and groom the system/product backlog.
• Facilitate communication between business partners and development/test teams.
• Validate that finished technical solutions meet defined business needs.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial/B2B operations experience.
• 7+ years of leadership and people management experience.
• 5+ years of telecom implementation and operations experience.
• 5+ years of experience with systems/product development, ownership, or management.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with iterative software development principles.
• Experience with software product management.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to synthesize recommendations.
• Effective written and communication skills with all levels of an organization.
