About the position

The Senior Director of Central Compliance & Strategy at SoFi is a leadership role responsible for overseeing compliance infrastructure and strategy across the enterprise. This position reports to the Enterprise Chief Compliance Officer and involves managing various compliance programs, risk assessments, and corporate compliance initiatives. The role emphasizes collaboration with business leaders to mitigate compliance risks and foster a culture of regulatory compliance aligned with the company's values.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a comprehensive compliance governance program including program and project management, policies, training, and regulatory change management.
  • Organize and lead compliance risk assessments and regulatory inventory programs.
  • Partner with Enterprise Risk to implement and maintain an enterprise GRC program.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on financial services compliance topics and maintain industry insights.
  • Engage with business leaders to ensure compliance requirements are communicated and addressed.
  • Support and develop a high-performing compliance team, providing guidance and coaching.
  • Champion a corporate culture that aligns regulatory compliance with the company's purpose and values.
  • Critically assess existing practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with external parties regarding the company's compliance function.
  • Develop innovative solutions to anticipate and resolve factors impacting SoFi's strategies.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in large banking organizations with expertise in banking laws and regulations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple demands and track deliverables.
  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance management programs under heightened standards.
  • Ability to analyze risk trends and identify process control breakdowns.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to executives and stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships and engaging teams.

Benefits

  • Base pay range: $176,000.00 - $302,500.00
