About The Position

The Director in Clinical Operations at the US East Coast Hub will lead a team of Global Clinical Project Managers and Clinical Trial Administrators in planning and conducting clinical trials across key assets in the development portfolio. This role is integral to the Clinical Operation Leadership team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Clinical Operations, and focuses on building a skilled team while ensuring the successful execution of clinical trials.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) in a scientific or medical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry.
• In-depth understanding of the clinical drug development value chain, clinical trial design, execution, and management, including GCP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing clinical operations teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Global coordination of several clinical trials within one or more development programs.
• Represent Clinical Operations in Global Project Teams, providing sound operational strategy to balance operational and data needs.
• Plan and allocate necessary resources for clinical trials within the clinical program.
• Supervise and manage team members, ensuring competency development and performance management.
• Lead the implementation of relevant strategies and ensure change management activities.
