About the position
The Senior Director, Clinical Consulting serves as a clinical strategy leader and trusted advisor for Prime Therapeutics within the clinical account management function. This role combines a strong clinical background with business acumen to identify and execute strategic plans that align with Prime's clinical goals. The position involves leading clinical teams, overseeing formulary maintenance, and evaluating utilization management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Support the account team and Prime with formulary and utilization management strategies.
- Lead and support the execution of clinical consulting team functions, including custom formulary maintenance and financial analysis.
- Oversee formulary implementation, maintenance, and coding with the Centralized Business Analyst Support (CBAS) team.
- Develop, prepare, and present clinical business strategies for client meetings.
- Provide clinical oversight and project management to the business division.
- Lead, develop, and coach clinicians and analysts to improve processes.
- Act as a point of contact for various corporate initiatives.
Requirements
- B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
- Current U.S. pharmacist license.
- 9 - 11 years general pharmacy experience, including 4+ years in managed care or clinical account management.
- 12+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proven leadership skills and a strategic management style.
- Strong commitment to client service and business division goals.
- Ability to develop and mentor people.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Knowledge of clinical, trend, and formulary management programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
