About the position

The Senior Director of Corporate Communications at CherryRoad Media is a pivotal role that supports the management team by driving key initiatives and operational management across the company. This fully remote position requires a leader with extensive experience in developing strategic narratives and leading external PR/communications agencies, as the company transitions from a technology-focused entity to a leading media company. The role involves close collaboration with executive team members and various departments to create a cohesive communications strategy that aligns with the company's transformation goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate communications, strategy, marketing and branding, and third-party business partners to create a cohesive communication plan.
  • Oversee the implementation of the communication plan from strategy creation to execution of internal and external communications.
  • Support organizational changes to drive successful adoption of change, acting as a change agent.
  • Prioritize and coordinate information dissemination to ensure timely and effective communication across platforms and audiences.
  • Ensure consistent employee messaging to build commitment and engagement around the business strategy.
  • Implement a strategic social media plan to amplify CherryRoad initiatives and unify all brands.
  • Oversee social media content and engagement across all corporate channels.
  • Engage in social listening for all CherryRoad brands.
  • Establish and refine the corporate narrative with clear and consistent messaging.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to ensure all employees are considered in communications regarding change.
  • Proactively address communications issues and assist in crisis response as needed.
  • Develop and support team members with standards and processes for maximum impact.
  • Provide strategic counsel for high-level business partnerships to enhance awareness and credibility.
  • Measure and report on key success and failure metrics over time.
  • Oversee production of employee events such as town halls and awards ceremonies.
  • Maintain and populate content for the corporate external site and intranet.
  • Ensure senior leadership communications are relevant and appropriately voiced, advising the executive management team on strategies and tactics.

Requirements

  • 10 years of significant experience leading communications/PR strategy and teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategies for product, corporate, consumer, and enterprise communications.
  • Ability to take story ideas from concept to launch across various channels.
  • Strong networking skills to connect with the right partners for strategic communication directives.
  • Experience leading an external PR/Communications agency.
  • Existing media industry connections and business relationships.
  • Natural leadership skills to influence and work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Outcome-focused leadership with the ability to prioritize strategy and goals.
  • Energetic, innovative, and agile personality with a willingness to listen and act as a change agent.
  • Outstanding judgment and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
