About the position

The Senior Director of Data & Analytics Platform Engineering is responsible for leading engineering teams to design, develop, maintain, and implement complex systems and projects that support business and technology areas. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and influencing decision-making among business and technology leaders. The position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive cross-functional objectives while ensuring compliance with IT standards and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise, supervise, and delegate tasks for groups of engineering teams.
  • Lead the delivery and execution of solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Plan and direct all aspects of the organization, including financial and budgetary oversight.
  • Drive the execution and delivery of team products and services.
  • Fulfill IT audits for respective technologies and ensure compliance with IT standards.
  • Coordinate resolution of complex topics and handle escalations with vendors.
  • Communicate status, strategic direction, and results of assigned work.
  • Manage human resources functions including coaching, performance management, and workforce planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in the technology space.
  • Minimum of 4 years of people management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience with BI&A, geospatial, advanced analytics, financial analytics, data management, or data delivery platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills to influence recommendations and decision-making.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels.
  • In-depth understanding of business and financial acumen.

  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Technical knowledge in multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to understand market and industry trends within related technical domains.
