About the position

The Senior Director of Data Platforms and Insights at EyeCare Partners is a leadership role focused on transforming the organization's approach to data analytics. This position is responsible for developing strategies and implementing data governance standards, data engineering, and analytics solutions to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security. The role involves modernizing data and analytics programs, facilitating data-driven decision-making, and evaluating technologies to enhance data effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the infrastructure and systems that support data collection, storage, and analysis.
  • Establish policies, procedures, and standards for data management and ensure adherence to governance models throughout the organization.
  • Implement change within the organization, ensuring understanding, participation, and ownership.
  • Partner closely with business functions to support the development of product roadmaps and align operations roadmaps and investments.
  • Deliver sustainable organizational changes on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage.
  • Lead implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of large-scale Data & Analytics programs, including program planning, vendor management, and post-rollout support.
  • Drive enterprise strategy for data engineering, management, governance, integrations, and reporting in partnership with IT architects.
  • Productize data analytics and data science offerings, prioritizing those that drive organizational value and building a data roadmap.
  • Own the data vetting processes and ensure the quality of ingested data sets.
  • Identify tools needed to expand data literacy and proficiency.
  • Lead development of innovative approaches to data acquisition, storage, and distribution.
  • Manage D&A platforms including BI & analytical databases, data visualization, and advanced analytics.
  • Develop capabilities in artificial intelligence and integrate predictive analytics and machine learning into the analytics approach.
  • Enable self-service analytics for end-users to make timely data-driven decisions via reporting and visualization platforms.
  • Proactively develop and scale talent, monitor new delivery approaches, and advance ideas that accelerate cost-efficient delivery of the product vision.
  • Engineer, enhance, and operate secure and reliable solutions that are simple and intuitive.
  • Engage, collaborate, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to innovate and deliver services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data analytics and governance.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering large-scale data programs.
  • Deep understanding of data science operationalization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing blended resource teams including employees and contractors.
