About the position

The Sr. Director, Digital and Creative Strategy is a pivotal role within the Digital Marketing team, responsible for developing and executing the content and creative strategy across various digital platforms. This position aligns with the company's overall marketing and business objectives, focusing on driving digital sales through innovative and effective online campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leading digital creative teams, with substantial experience in digital content, UI, and UX design. A data-driven mindset and a proven track record of developing successful online campaigns and websites that drive conversions are essential for this role. The position is primarily on-site in Stamford, requiring four days in the office and one day of hybrid work. In this role, the Sr. Director will lead and inspire the digital marketing team, ensuring that all creative resources are managed effectively to produce designs and campaigns that are accurate and relevant to the customer journey. The director will drive online sales and leads through the optimization and development of digital campaigns, websites, and eCommerce buyflows. A key aspect of the role involves demonstrating creative thought leadership by staying ahead of digital trends and providing proactive inspiration and recommendations to the team. The director will also be responsible for continually testing and learning to raise the bar for creative excellence while improving site performance. Collaboration is crucial in this position, as the Sr. Director will work closely with digital partners, including digital media, web development, and search teams, to execute marketing strategies that drive sales. A deep understanding of the company's brand identity is necessary to ensure consistent application across all digital marketing tactics, company website pages, and external sales partner websites. The director will actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience, ensuring that all marketing initiatives align with the company's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the digital marketing team.
  • Manage creative resources to ensure designs and campaigns are accurate and applicable to the tactic while prioritizing the customer journey.
  • Drive online sales and leads through the optimization and development of digital campaigns, websites, and eCommerce buyflows.
  • Demonstrate creative thought leadership by keeping ahead of digital trends and providing proactive inspiration and recommendations to the team.
  • Continually test and learn to raise the bar for creative excellence while improving site performance.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to innovate and differentiate the creative approach.
  • Collaborate closely with digital partners and other cross-functional teams to execute marketing strategies and drive sales.
  • Ensure consistent application of the company's brand identity across digital marketing tactics and external sales partner websites.
  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience.
  • 10+ years of experience partnering with creative ad agencies to develop creative that delivers outstanding results.
  • 8+ years of experience in television commercial creative development and production.
  • 8+ years of marketing project management experience.
  • Extensive experience developing direct marketing creative, specifically DRTV & FSI creative, preferably for a subscription-based business.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to evolve creative strategy based on key learnings.
  • Strong leadership and collaborative capabilities that impact and influence employees.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or Film Production.
  • Master's degree in a related area of study preferred.
  • 10+ years of digital marketing experience.
  • 8+ years of project management experience.
  • 8+ years of group management experience.
  • Experience developing digital content, UI, UX, and customer journey-flows.
  • Experience developing acquisition and upsell creative.
