About the position

The Senior Director, Global Marketing at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at enhancing brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in domestic and global markets, capable of leading successful marketing campaigns across various regions. The Senior Director will oversee a team focused on digital marketing, social media, search, email, and public relations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective implementation of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive advertisement strategies to support the admissions cycle and drive qualified leads to Chicago Booth.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring creative deliverables align with campaign objectives.
  • Conduct annual planning meetings and manage external agencies for marketing and media plans.
  • Develop, implement, and report on KPIs for key marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the marketing advertisement budget, ensuring efficient allocation and ROI evaluation.
  • Leverage analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and optimize strategies.
  • Provide recommendations to senior leadership for improvements in marketing processes.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and maintain awareness of the competitive landscape.
  • Plan and implement strategic marketing plans for departments or programs.
  • Direct and evaluate marketing communication and research programs.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to staff, including selection and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of work experience in digital marketing or related fields with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in creating, implementing, and measuring comprehensive digital strategies in the non-profit or higher education sector.
  • Proven ability to manage an annual marketing budget.
  • Background in market research and competitive analysis.
  • Technical knowledge of HubSpot, Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Adobe Analytics, Marketo, Tableau, and Slate.
