About the position

The Senior Director of Global Merchandising for Men's Close to Body at PVH Corp. is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing product merchandising for the global Calvin Klein Underwear Men's community. This position is integral to the development of global merchandising dashboards and the consolidation of global information to support and build effective strategies for the category. The role requires a strong collaboration with the global design team and regional teams to ensure that product offerings align with specific merchandising objectives, revenue targets, and overall business goals. In this role, the Senior Director will support the VP of Merchandising by providing a clear product vision and global merchandising guidelines for all Calvin Klein Men's Underwear lines. This includes working closely with regional merchandise managers to translate regional needs and results into actionable strategies. The Senior Director will bring a customer and market perspective to the design process, ensuring that the brand's target customer is well understood by staying informed on lifestyle trends and consumer attitudes. The position also involves analyzing seasonal business performance by supervising sales data to identify opportunities for improving product assortments and margins. Leadership responsibilities include managing technical and merchandising teams, recognizing staff strengths, and addressing areas for development. The Senior Director will partner with the VP of Design on both long-term and short-term product and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across all teams involved in the merchandising process.

Responsibilities

  • Support the VP Merchandising for the product vision and global merchandising guidelines for all Calvin Klein Men's Underwear lines.
  • Partner with regional merchandise managers to develop and translate regional needs and results.
  • Collaborate and drive alignment through different regional teams to identify a unified approach to merchandising.
  • Bring customer and market perspectives to the design process by understanding the brand's target customer and lifestyle trends.
  • Analyze seasonal business performance by supervising sales information to identify opportunities for improving assortments and margins.
  • Lead the technical and merchandising teams, identifying staff strengths and areas for development, and recognizing positive performance.
  • Partner with the VP Design on all product and strategic initiatives, both long and short term.

Requirements

  • 8-11 years of product development/merchandising experience, preferably in Retail & Intimate Apparel.
  • Proven track record managing a team of 2 or more people in differing functions.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • High level of analytical skills and conceptual creative ability.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of fabrics and garment construction, including bras.
  • Proven understanding of garment costs and gross margin formulas.
