About the position

As a Senior Director - Global Data Privacy Program Manager at StandardAero, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's personal data protection program to ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR. This position involves collaborating with various teams, including Legal, IT, HR, Marketing, and Sales, to implement effective privacy policies and processes across the organization. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects, managing privacy content, and driving accountability for privacy protection within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional project team to design, build, and implement a global privacy program in compliance with applicable local privacy laws/regulations, particularly GDPR.
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned privacy program management including defined project objectives, deliverables, and target completion deadlines.
  • Build relationships with functional leaders and gain their support and commitment in delivering to the plan.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in privacy program and laws to assist functional leaders in the implementation of new processes and systems compliant with those laws.
  • Report program status, plans, risks, and issues to the executive leadership teams.
  • Act as an advisor for enterprise leaders to ensure company policies and laws on privacy are met.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the US or UK.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of data privacy, program management, governance, and/or operations experience.
  • Knowledge of global data and privacy regulations, laws, and compliance tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to interact within all levels of the organization.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Experience working on complex, cross-functional projects as a program manager.
  • Experience applying privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PIPEDA, etc.) and privacy qualifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Law, or related discipline.
  • Formal program management qualification or equivalent evidence of experience.
  • Solid understanding of core privacy laws and principles.
  • Privacy qualifications (e.g., CIPP/CIPM) are preferred.
