About the position

The Senior Director of Global Procurement for Clinical Laboratories at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the global Clinical Laboratories Category strategy. This role is pivotal in aligning procurement activities with the company's scientific advancements and business needs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving cost savings and efficiency improvements. The position involves significant stakeholder engagement, supplier management, and negotiation responsibilities, as well as the potential to manage a team of professionals in the procurement function.

Responsibilities

• Lead, define, and implement the global Clinical Laboratories Category strategy.
• Engage with stakeholders to align category priorities with procurement management.
• Manage negotiations and supplier management activities for the Clinical Laboratories Category.
• Drive value through cost savings and efficiency improvements from category management activities.
• Participate in organizational decisions impacting the Laboratories categories.
• Ensure compliance with GxPs and other applicable regulations in category activities.
• Negotiate contract terms in consultation with the Law department.
• Provide coaching and guidance to direct reports and lead by example.
• Utilize data to inform decision-making for category projects.
• Enhance procurement technical skills within the global procurement team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
• Progressive experience in procurement, preferably in Pharma/BioPharma.
• Experience leading global categories teams and processes.
• Ability to build influential relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams in Clinical Laboratories categories.
• Expertise in negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
• Knowledge of supply market dynamics and external data sources.
• Experience in managing manager-level professionals in a multi-national firm.
• Familiarity with sourcing contracting tools, ERP's, and eRFx systems (e.g., Oracle, Zycus, Ariba).
• Proficiency in standard business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
