About the position

The Senior Director Hardware Engineer will lead the Silicon Manufacturing Packaging Engineering team, focusing on the development and optimization of cloud infrastructure hardware. This role is pivotal in driving the next generation of semiconductor integrated circuits (IC) for high-performance applications, ensuring manufacturability, and managing external vendor relationships. The position requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in product development and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Drive next generation manufacturing development roadmap for Hypercaler class semiconductor integrated circuits (IC).
  • Work with diverse engineering teams to develop a vision for next generation ICs and ensure manufacturability with industry-leading product costs.
  • Drive ecosystem partnerships for pre-Si and post-Si readiness related to power, performance, thermal, and power delivery testing.
  • Establish and grow external vendor relationships, driving cross-functional teams and projects as part of larger development programs.
  • Conduct industry competitive analysis to identify opportunities for developing cost-effective products.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of related technical engineering experience or equivalent educational background with relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in product development and manufacturing in large scale and/or high-performance environments.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing integrated circuits, including pre-silicon and first silicon bring-up.
  • 8+ years of experience in product and test engineering, specializing in ATE test program development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing external vendors and guiding cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor IC development, manufacturing, fabrication, testing, and packaging.
  • Background in high-performance computing, AI, GPU, and CPU markets.
  • Deep understanding of silicon configuration management and supplier/customer interfacing.
