About the position

The Senior Director, HR Business Partner at Excelitas Technologies plays a pivotal role in aligning human resources practices with the strategic goals of the organization. This position is designed for a seasoned HR professional who will serve as a strategic business partner and change agent within the Advanced Industrial segment. The HRBP will provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of HR responsibilities, acting as a consultant to internal clients. The role requires a deep understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and regulations, as well as the ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business outcomes. In this role, the Senior Director will consult with line management to provide daily HR guidance on critical areas such as talent retention and recruitment. They will suggest strategies that align with the corporate philosophy, emphasizing internal promotions for career development. The HRBP will also focus on organizational development, succession planning, and the identification of training needs for teams and individuals to ensure future leadership continuity. With the support of the corporate talent development lead, they will administer various training programs and assess their effectiveness. Additionally, the Senior Director will be responsible for labor relations, working closely with management and employees to enhance work relationships, boost morale, and improve productivity and retention. They will resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances systematically, ensuring fair and consistent resolutions in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Monitoring and reporting on meaningful workforce metrics, such as performance ratings, compensation, turnover, and demographics, will also be a key responsibility. The HRBP will express new ideas and strategies, proposing solutions that consider budget limitations and the company culture. They will partner with internal HR teams to drive company-wide programs and initiatives, including salary reviews and organizational change. Governance and compliance are also critical aspects of this role, as the Senior Director will provide guidance on corporate HR policies and programs, collaborating with the segment legal and compliance lead when necessary to mitigate the company's liability.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a strategic HR business partner role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
