About the position

The HR Technology and Operations (HRTO) team at Lilly is seeking a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the global HR technology strategy and portfolio. This role involves managing a sizable team to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise-level HR technology, operational excellence, and an optimal employee experience. The position requires a strong focus on innovation, standardization, automation, compliance, and collaboration with HR leadership and key partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the HR technology strategy, portfolio, and roadmap to enable HR processes and support critical business outcomes.
  • Oversee the development and governance of the technology portfolio, making prioritization and investment recommendations to senior HR leadership.
  • Supervise and develop the HRTO team, coordinating team priorities and workload across various initiatives.
  • Engage and collaborate with HR leadership to assess needs and opportunities associated with HR technology, focusing on AI and automation.
  • Act as senior relationship owner with Workday and other suppliers, overseeing vendor performance and contract management.
  • Serve as senior system owner of Workday and other HR technologies, ensuring compliance with data privacy and legal requirements.
  • Ensure optimization and adoption of HR technologies through effective application support and release management.
  • Partner with HR IT and vendors to ensure effective integration across technology and operational capabilities.
  • Engage with Workday Community and other sources to influence best practices in HR technology.
  • Define expectations and develop operational metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, Information Systems or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience with HR technology.
  • Supervisory experience.

  • Strong people management and development skills.
  • Experience building and leading teams from strategy to operational execution.
  • 3+ years of Workday and/or other HCM technology experience.
  • 3+ years of HR operations and/or HR COE experience.
  • Experience managing global/enterprise-level programs, projects, and changes.
  • Excellent skills in communication and relationship management.
  • Extensive knowledge of internal HR processes and external best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of HR Technology environment and evolving trends.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient project management and HR business process improvement skills.
  • Six Sigma experience.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational change principles and methodologies.
