About the position

The Senior Director of Change and Release Management will lead a global team through a transformative period, focusing on modernizing IT Service Management (ITSM) practices to align with DevOps methodologies. This role is pivotal in orchestrating software and infrastructure changes, ensuring efficient change flow, and maintaining governance standards. The ideal candidate will blend leadership with technical expertise to foster innovation and drive best practices in change and release management, ultimately supporting the organization's growth and agility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global Change and Release Management team through transformation initiatives.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of processes for efficient change flow and release coordination.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and relevant standards in change and release processes.
• Evaluate risks associated with proposed changes and releases, ensuring service integrity.
• Develop and communicate effective process vision and strategy to stakeholders.
• Promote awareness of structured change and release control processes across the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in change and release management practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and procedures.
• Manage project priorities and resources to ensure timely completion of initiatives.
• Conduct audits of change and release processes and implement improvements.

Requirements

• 10 years overall work experience in Information Technology or related fields.
• 7 years of experience supporting cross-functional application and infrastructure teams.
• 5 years in a technical discipline role with experience in change and release processes.
• 4 years of applications support in a cloud environment and system implementation experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related fields.
• Extensive experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, Asset Management, and Application Portfolio Management.
• Advanced knowledge of ITSM processes and infrastructure change management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with IT outsourcing in a managed services environment.
• Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Experience in a DevSecOps environment.
• Knowledge of measurement processes for assessing program outcomes.
• Experience working with global teams across different time zones.
