About the position

As a Senior Director in the Life Sciences practice at Alvarez & Marsal, you will play a crucial leadership role in guiding case teams and developing strategies to help clients navigate complex challenges in the life sciences industry. This position involves direct engagement with clients, particularly at the c-suite and board levels, and requires a blend of strategic insight and operational expertise to drive successful outcomes. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative team environment, ensuring that all project outputs are actionable and strategically sound.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging in c-suite and board-level conversations regarding client challenges and strategic initiatives.
  • Utilizing experience to function in interim roles such as CEO, CFO, or CCO.
  • Serving as the main client point of contact for project engagements and guiding case teams.
  • Leveraging research and data to synthesize insights and develop strategic frameworks.
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with clients and ensuring project outputs are actionable.
  • Supporting business development by identifying client needs and shaping proposals.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior staff, sharing topic matter knowledge.
  • Coordinating project staffing to meet team needs and support direct reports' goals.

Requirements

  • Over a decade of experience in the life sciences industry.
  • Proven track record in assessing and managing risk.
  • Ability to identify trends and create innovative solutions.
  • Experience leading and managing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster a supportive team atmosphere.
