About the position

The Senior Director, Managing Editor at Vaco is a pivotal role that oversees the editorial activities across the Enterprise. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of content, managing the publication process, and leading the content team. The Senior Director will make critical editorial decisions, manage the content team, schedule editorial topics, and generate innovative story ideas that align with the company's vision and goals. This role is essential in expanding thought leadership content in core service areas such as consulting, managed services, and talent solutions. In this capacity, the Senior Director will collaborate with various stakeholders across the Enterprise, including leaders, subject matter experts, and the marketing team, to produce high-quality, regular content. This includes campaign-focused pieces, webinars, white papers, and more. The role also involves leading a reporting team that deploys both regular and long-form content through various channels, contributing to the website traffic strategy via content, and managing editorial efforts that support the company's digital and media strategies. Additionally, the Senior Director will editorially contribute to expanded content mediums, such as podcasts and social media, with the goal of broadening the reach of Vaco's content. The position requires a strong understanding of business insights, effective communication skills, and the ability to drive vision and purpose within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Oversees and expands thought leadership content in core service areas of consulting, managed services, and talent solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required.
  • At least 7 years' experience in a relevant field required.
  • Experience in a lead editorial role required.
  • Experience driving content programs that result in expanded reach, digital performance, lead generation, increased social followers, and business results preferred.
  • Background in journalism preferred.
