About the position

The Senior Director of Marketing for Shutterstock's Business Solutions Division is responsible for leading and enhancing the B2B marketing strategy to drive growth, customer acquisition, and retention. This role involves close collaboration with revenue growth leaders, Product Management, and Sales teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in B2B marketing, particularly in digital media, technology, or content solutions, and will oversee a strategic team focused on the entire customer journey.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and refine a comprehensive B2B divisional marketing strategy.
  • Build and optimize demand generation programs leveraging content marketing, digital campaigns, SEO/SEM, and email marketing.
  • Lead a team representing product-specific marketing functions to craft compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, paid advertising, and social media.
  • Use analytics tools to track performance, measure ROI, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Cultivate a customer-first, data-driven approach in all marketing initiatives.
  • Lead a team of marketing leaders in a lean, agile environment, promoting a collaborative culture.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and other teams to ensure alignment and drive cohesive customer experiences.
  • Oversee messaging and positioning efforts to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and strong returns.
  • Report regularly to executive leadership on key metrics and marketing performance.

Requirements

  • 8-13 years in B2B marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong background in demand generation, digital marketing, and sales alignment within the B2B space.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive significant business growth.
  • Experience in managing a marketing budget and optimizing resources to achieve objectives.
  • Knowledge of marketing technologies (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, analytics tools).
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing lean, high-performing marketing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Masters/MBA preferred).
  • Proficiency in using marketing analytics and data-driven insights to inform strategy.
