Walmart Connect is Walmart's advertising platform designed to reach hundreds of millions of U.S. shoppers throughout their shopping journey. The Head of Marketing and Creative at Walmart Connect is seeking a seasoned B2B marketer to lead the Brand Strategy and Enterprise Sales marketing team. This role is pivotal in driving the "must buy" status for Connect's ad products across the media industry by enhancing awareness and comprehension of Walmart Connect's unique value proposition. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 25-35 B2B marketers who are responsible for guiding the Walmart Connect brand strategy, organizing events, and executing ad sales marketing initiatives targeting various ad buying cohorts and category verticals. The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of experience leading an ad sales marketing team for a major media platform, preferably in the New York or San Francisco metro areas. They should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with executive presence. The role requires expertise in developing strategies, crafting messages, and organizing events that effectively differentiate Walmart Connect's offerings and resonate with target audiences to drive ad revenue goals. A deep understanding of effective execution and a proven ability to coach teams in delivering measurable outcomes through data-driven marketing are essential. In this role, you will be responsible for developing both short- and long-term visions for the Walmart Connect brand, creating and measuring the effectiveness of the annual brand strategy, and collaborating with the Corporate Communications team to build and align on key messaging strategies. You will also be an integral part of the Walmart Connect Marketing leadership team, attending bi-weekly meetings and quarterly off-sites to drive departmental vision, mission, annual operating plans, budgeting, headcount planning, strategy, tactics, OKRs, and employee satisfaction. Presenting strategic initiatives and measurable results at quarterly business reviews will also be a key responsibility. Additionally, you will drive collaboration with key cross-functional partners, including Walmart Connect executive leadership, sales leaders, corporate communications, product marketing, growth marketing, training and education, HR business partners, marketing operations, and the Walmart events and shows team. Leading a positive team culture that aligns with Walmart's values and drives team satisfaction will be crucial, as will implementing plans to coach, motivate, and develop team members. You will oversee the delivery of sales narratives, effective ad campaigns, sales enablement content, and the management of the Walmart Connect website and marketing calendar. Furthermore, you will manage industry events, logistics, and content for a 2-day sales summit, and ensure the delivery of insights from customer and brand health metric studies to inform future strategies.
