About the position

The Senior Director, Martech Chief Architect at Cognizant is a pivotal role responsible for leading the MarTech practice, focusing on the design, implementation, and optimization of marketing technology stacks, particularly Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This position requires a visionary leader with a strong background in marketing, analytics, and data management to drive innovation and align marketing technology strategies with business goals. The role encompasses strategic leadership, technical expertise, team leadership, project management, and data analysis to enhance customer engagement and marketing effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive MarTech strategies aligned with the organization's overall business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select the most suitable MarTech tools and platforms to support marketing goals.
  • Oversee the integration and optimization of MarTech stack, particularly Salesforce Marketing Cloud, to ensure seamless data flow and efficient operations.
  • Lead procurements (RFPs and RFIs), client interactions with senior stakeholders across markets and partners.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for large, complex deliveries; drive conversations with our customer's technical staff and business stakeholders armed with best practices.
  • Develop or support SFMC Architecture best practices supporting client development through delivery of best practices, delivery templates, and solution papers.
  • Possess a deep understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including its core functionalities, automation capabilities, and integration points.
  • Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex Salesforce Marketing Cloud problems with both the customer and third-party partners.
  • Lead and mentor a team of MarTech specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Provide strategic direction for SFMC initiatives enhancing customer engagement and marketing effectiveness.
  • Manage complex MarTech projects, including implementation, migration, and optimization initiatives.
  • Leverage data analytics to measure the performance of MarTech stacks and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize marketing campaigns and drive business growth.

Requirements

  • 20+ years overall experience with over 10+ years in Salesforce across various products.
  • At least 5 years experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) driving SFMC and Salesforce architecture.
  • At least 1 year experience in AI, Einstein, Data Cloud.
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect, Salesforce Data Cloud consultant, and Salesforce AI specialist.
