About the position

The Senior Director, National Accounts at Cepheid is responsible for leading and overseeing all sales strategic planning for National Accounts across the USA. This role focuses on ensuring revenue targets and customer satisfaction goals are met while managing specific contracts and relationships. The Senior Director will collaborate with the U.S. Sales organization to maximize growth and adoption of Cepheid products, develop long-term strategies, and execute go-to-market plans, particularly with Government Accounts. This position is integral to the US Strategic Accounts Team and is designed to foster career growth and development within a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed growth plans for assigned National Accounts for existing and new business accounts.
  • Oversee the performance of National Accounts Directors, providing coaching and professional development.
  • Act as a thought leader on market dynamics within the Molecular Diagnostics market.
  • Communicate with Cepheid's Scientific Advisory Board and Key Opinion Leaders to ensure marketing requirements are met.
  • Recruit Key Opinion Leaders and develop Centers of Excellence for Cepheid products at National Accounts.
  • Create and execute actionable strategies for the sales team based on sales data analytics and market insights.
  • Develop and execute strategies across health systems, including large hospitals and alternate site locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 14+ years of business or equivalent industry-related experience.
  • Master's degree in Life Science with 12+ years of business or equivalent industry-related experience.
  • 7+ years of diagnostic industry experience with 3+ years focused on Strategic Accounts.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience.
  • 10+ years of successful selling and strategy experience with large multi-site accounts including Government and Health Systems.
  • Experience in setting short and long-term business strategies.
  • Strong influencing, persuasion, and communication skills.
