About the position

The Senior Director of Administration at the Community Renewal Team (CRT) plays a crucial role in supporting the agency's operational needs by overseeing various business functions. This position is responsible for managing property management services, contract management, and ensuring compliance with mandated requirements and strategic objectives. The Senior Director will lead the operations of property management, ensuring that properties are managed effectively and efficiently while adhering to tax credit compliance. This role also involves directing all aspects of leasing, compliance, and reporting, as well as preparing property asset management and accounting reports. The Senior Director will ensure thorough and accurate reporting to all funders and regulators, manage and review contracts to comply with agency policies, and maintain a risk management program for the agency's commercial insurance coverages. In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Director will provide leadership and oversight for CRT's programs that deliver services to residential customers, particularly in areas related to weatherization and energy assistance. This includes managing program operations to meet production, financial, and quality objectives while complying with state and federal regulations. The role requires establishing and maintaining positive relationships with funding sources, regulatory agencies, contractors, vendors, clients, and the community. The Senior Director will also be responsible for writing research and project proposals and handling special projects as assigned by the President/CEO. This position is exempt and reports directly to the President/CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations and management of Property Management Services.
  • Ensure compliance with tax credits and effective property management.
  • Direct all aspects of leasing, compliance, and reporting.
  • Participate in preparation of property asset management and accounting reports.
  • Ensure thorough, accurate, and complete reporting to all funders and regulators.
  • Manage and review contracts for compliance with agency policies and funder requirements.
  • Maintain a risk management program for commercial insurance coverages.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for CRT's programs delivering services to residential customers.
  • Manage program operations to achieve production, financial, and quality objectives.
  • Lead and manage the staffing, development, and performance of department employees.
  • Establish and maintain positive external relationships with stakeholders.
  • Write research and project proposals.
  • Handle special projects as assigned by the President/CEO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required; Master's Degree/MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of senior operational or administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in writing.
  • Experience working with funders and government agencies.
  • High-energy, independent self-starter with developed problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize to achieve high-value outcomes.
  • Experience in analyzing issues and problems to achieve solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and persuade effectively.
  • Ability to relate to a diverse population by adapting interpersonal styles as needed.
