The Senior Director of Business Demand Generation and Marketing will play a pivotal role in achieving demand generation and market leadership goals. This position is responsible for leading a small team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that leverage product positioning, promotions, and messaging to capture market share in the medium and enterprise markets through targeted segmentation and integrated campaigns. In this role, the Senior Director will develop successful go-to-market lead and demand generation campaigns, ensuring successful product launches through collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, IT, operations, consumer marketing, and sales. The individual will utilize a variety of marketing tactics, both digital and offline, to meet penetration and sales conversion targets. Continuous review of the lead universe and prospect lists will be essential to refine targeted campaigns for success. The role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to learn and apply insights through iteration, pivoting when necessary to drive towards objectives. This is an in-person role based in Dallas, TX, requiring regular attendance at the office. The ideal candidate is driven by leading and serving great teams, constantly setting challenging goals and working to exceed them. They should be self-driven, collaborative, and influential, capable of scaling from strategy to execution while thriving in ambiguous environments. The Senior Director will be responsible for the strategic roadmap of sales campaigns across Enterprise and SMB organizations, bridging the gap between sales, marketing, and product teams, and keeping sales objectives as the core focus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the strategic roadmap of sales campaigns for the business group across Enterprise and SMB organizations
  • Develop the go-to-market plans and lead the execution to achieve product, business, and market share goals
  • Bridge the gap between the sales, marketing, and product teams, and IT teams - keep sales objectives as the core focus
  • Be an expert on market definition, market sizing, the competitive landscape, and reasons why we win/lose
  • Create clear and concise positioning and messaging for our products
  • Work closely with product management, PR, sales, and customer success teams to increase market awareness, understanding, and presence to build pipeline and revenue
  • Leverage product promotions and pricing to drive business strategy and results
  • Conduct gap analysis on competitors by market
  • Review lead universe and prospect lists to consistently refine and develop insight and understanding of the buyer personas and buying process to inform product and marketing plans
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop high-impact product demos
  • Work with creative teams to map content to the buying committee for each stage of the buyer journey. Ensure content is fresh, relevant, and engaging
  • Lead a small team, being willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done correctly

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in business management, strategy, economics, marketing, computer science; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience in telecom and/or cloud-based product marketing
  • Experience leading teams that achieve great things
  • Skilled in developing and leveraging positioning & messaging as it pertains to new customer acquisition, and customer base management in the enterprise markets
  • Excellent abilities in presenting, writing, research and quantitative analysis
  • Ability to engage in constructive debate, understand different points of view, and articulate direction to a wide audience including executives, team leaders, and individual contributors
  • High intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence required
  • A track record of building strong customer and channel relationships
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail. Always understands priorities and how to make tradeoffs accordingly
  • Able to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
  • Take ownership, focus on solving problems, and demonstrate a high level of accountability

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $120,000 to $216,000
