About the position

As the Senior Director of Business Intelligence at Ruggable, you will be instrumental in shaping and scaling the company's analytics and insights capabilities. This role focuses on leveraging data to inform management decision-making and drive growth. You will implement a self-service analytics environment, collaborate with various teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, translating data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Ruggable's overall Business Intelligence strategy and roadmap.
  • Design, build, and maintain a standard suite of published and self-service reporting tools that provide functional leaders with timely access to key financial and operational metrics.
  • Build effective working relationships across business functions and conduct self-service training to ensure that BI data and tools are adopted as 'single source of truth.'
  • Collaborate with functional leaders and our Data and Analytics Engineering teams to ensure that new informational and analytical requirements are identified and prioritized as needed for the business.
  • Set standard data and metrics definitions across functions and own related governance processes.
  • Deliver insights and actionable recommendations to functional leadership from timely analysis of underlying data and trends.
  • Build, lead, and develop a world-class BI team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • 5+ years of expertise with Looker, Tableau, Power BI, and other reporting and BI tools.
  • 5+ years of experience working in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance best practices.
  • Proven experience in building scalable BI reporting processes.
  • Fluency with data/visualization technologies and best practices.
  • Strategic perspective with strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership, peers, and teams across business functions.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Sciences, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at high-growth publicly-traded e-commerce and/or CPG experience beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
