About the position

The Senior Director of Commercial Product Management is a key leadership role responsible for defining and executing the product strategy that aligns with the company's goals. This position focuses on driving growth through innovative product initiatives, strategic planning, and effective execution, while ensuring customer-centric solutions are delivered. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive industry expertise and experience in commercial product management to lead a high-performing team and collaborate with various departments to achieve successful product launches and enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the commercial product strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Utilize insights to drive product innovation and differentiation.
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market demands, and business priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product enhancements.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product features and enhancements.
  • Responsible for managing product budgets, forecasting revenue streams, and achieving financial targets.
  • Build and mentor a high performing Product Management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven track record of at least 20+ years in product quality assurance.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in commercial product management within Operator Commercial product development in at least one of the areas: video, broadband, voice and home security/control.
  • Recent experience in Telecommunications, Cable, Wireless or a related industry.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain complete confidentiality.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and as a member of a team and display interpersonal awareness.
  • Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point and Outlook) with Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in USRC.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SiteTracker, or Dynamics 365 a plus.
  • Strong analytical background.
