The Senior Director of Communications will lead workplace change management and strategic initiatives at General Motors. Responsibilities

• Lead communications around organizational change, guiding employees through transformation with consistent messaging.
• Align communications with corporate strategy, articulating goals, values, and performance metrics.
• Develop and oversee HR-related communications, ensuring diverse perspectives are included.
• Create 360 executive communications plans that engage internal stakeholders through relevant messaging.
• Manage crisis communication strategies to support employees and uphold company reputation.
• Develop content and campaigns that highlight the company's mission and employee stories.
• Lead a team of communications professionals, mentoring and fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, with expertise in change management and HR communications.
• Demonstrated success in leading communication strategies during periods of transformation in large organizations.
• Strong storytelling, writing, and editing abilities to create engaging messages for diverse audiences.
• Excellent project management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills, with experience working alongside senior leaders.
