About the position

The Senior Director of Creative Video will lead the Video Production Unit within the Athletics Department at UNC Charlotte. This role is responsible for overseeing the creation of video content for external use and in-game presentations, ensuring the athletic department's visual brand is effectively maintained and promoted. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and the management of a team dedicated to producing high-quality video content for athletic events and social media.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Video Production Unit responsible for creating video content for external use and in-game presentations.
• Create and maintain the direction of the athletic department's visual brand.
• Develop creative video content for Charlotte49ers and athletic social media accounts.
• Coordinate production for live events, adhering to Conference USA broadcast requirements.
• Create video content to support campaigns for athletic department sponsors.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff members in the Video Production Unit.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in a broadcast television, radio, or emerging media environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in a college athletics environment.
• Demonstrated video shooting and editing experience.
• Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
• Portfolio of video shooting and editing experience.
