About the position

The Senior Director of Development for Corporate & Foundation Relations is a leadership role focused on managing and enhancing the organization's fundraising strategies with corporate and foundation partners. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage these partners, secure major gifts, and foster long-term relationships that support the organization's mission. The role involves collaboration with senior leadership to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and ensure effective stewardship of donor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate and foundation fundraising strategy to meet financial goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and program teams to align fundraising priorities with strategic initiatives.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate and foundation prospects.
• Serve as the primary contact for corporate and foundation prospects and donors, cultivating relationships with key partners.
• Maintain an understanding of each partner's goals and philanthropic interests to tailor engagement effectively.
• Lead efforts to secure corporate sponsorships, grants, and donations for programs and initiatives.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including multi-year partnerships and programmatic grants.
• Ensure timely submission of proposals, reports, and updates to donors in compliance with grant agreements.
• Oversee donor recognition efforts and track progress towards fundraising goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in fundraising, corporate relations, or a related field
• Proven track record of success in corporate and foundation fundraising, including securing major gifts and multi-year partnerships
• Knowledge of grant writing, proposal development, and fundraising best practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Raiser's Edge software
