About the position

The Senior Director of Digital Marketing at Bio-Techne will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's digital marketing landscape. This position is designed for a strategic leader who will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive digital marketing strategies aimed at enhancing brand visibility, driving customer acquisition, and ultimately increasing revenue. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning digital marketing initiatives with the overarching goals of the business, ensuring that all efforts resonate with the needs of various stakeholders across the organization. In this role, the Senior Director will supervise a talented team of digital marketing professionals, guiding them in the execution of multi-channel marketing strategies that encompass website management, social media engagement, email marketing, content creation, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and display advertising. A strong analytical mindset is essential, as the director will evaluate the end-to-end customer experience across various touchpoints, utilizing data insights to refine and optimize marketing strategies continuously. The position also entails establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital marketing efforts, conducting market research to stay abreast of industry trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create integrated marketing campaigns. Budget management for digital marketing initiatives is another critical responsibility, requiring the director to track campaign effectiveness and return on investment (ROI). Furthermore, the Senior Director will engage with executive-level management, influencing policy decisions and aligning marketing strategies with the company's objectives. Staying current with digital marketing tools and technologies will be crucial for identifying new opportunities to reach target audiences effectively. This role demands a proactive leader who can prioritize website enhancements and optimizations while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Global Digital Marketing strategy for Bio-techne while ensuring alignment with the needs of business stakeholders.
  • Supervise a team of professionals to develop and execute digital marketing strategies across multiple channels including website, social media, email, content marketing, SEO, PPC/SEM, and display advertising.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points. Prepare strategies and plans to optimize the customer experience.
  • Establish and monitor Digital Marketing key performance indicators. Continuously test and optimize marketing strategies based on data insights to improve performance and drive results.
  • Oversee the effort to conduct market research and analysis to keep up to date on industry trends and changes in consumer behavior and use this data to inform marketing strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including business units, product marketing, sales, and other marketing teams to create integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Establish and manage budgets for digital marketing campaigns, and track and report on the effectiveness and return on investment of these campaigns.
  • Manage a team of digital marketing professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and training as needed.
  • Stay up to date on digital marketing tools and technologies and identify opportunities to leverage new platforms and channels to reach target audiences.
  • Interact internally and externally with executive level management, negotiate critical matters, and influence policymaking.
  • Understand company and executive objectives and demonstrate capability to align and execute on the goals of functional areas.
  • Work closely with various teams globally to prioritize website enhancements/optimizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Key Responsibilities, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to lead performance, career development, and talent management initiatives
  • A science background is a plus, but not required
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful digital marketing strategies
  • Experience leading teams in projects and procedural changes of large scope
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Responsible for partnering with key leaders to accomplish objectives of the organization and division
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and platforms, as well as industry trends and best practices
