About the position

The Senior Director of Enrollment Marketing at Mount Saint Mary's University is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a strategic enrollment marketing and communications plan for various academic programs. This role involves overseeing marketing strategies to enhance prospect generation and conversion rates, managing the university's brand, and collaborating with various teams to create engaging content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing and communications strategies to increase prospect generation and support conversion from applicant to enrolled for various programs.
  • Oversee creative implementation of the MSMU brand to support enrollment efforts, serving as a liaison to marketing partners.
  • Write and create content for digital marketing efforts, including emails, admission blog posts, and print publications.
  • Create content for the MSMU admissions pages of the University website and external college search websites.
  • Work closely with the Enrollment Digital Communications team to support communications efforts through content review and development.
  • Partner with the University Social Media team to create social media and video strategy and content for enrollment channels.
  • Oversee marketing and communications budget for various programs.
  • Manage staff responsible for content management systems and relevant web applications used for web production.
  • Oversee web design fundamentals, content, and user experience.
  • Serve on key University committees.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the university enrollment process for various age groups.
  • Clear understanding and experience in marketing and advertising, including metrics and ROI.
  • Experience in managing budgets.
  • Strong creative and professional writing skills with keen editing and attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership skills to work with a diverse group of staff and faculty.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently with excellent organizational skills.
  • Critical thinker with advanced problem-solving capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree preferred, particularly in Marketing.
  • At least five years of enrollment marketing experience preferred.
