About the position

The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing multi-site profitability and quality within established sub-regions for a national corporation. This role involves managing multiple sites across various states, focusing on transportation, logistics, inventory control, internal financial reporting, and performance productivity for all lines of business. The position requires significant travel within the New England region, particularly around the greater Boston area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-site profitability and quality within established sub-regions.
• Manage inventory and warehouse operations.
• Plan and optimize routes for the fleet.
• Oversee fleet management activities.
• Develop and evaluate employee performance.
• Manage P&L for the operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7+ years in the transportation and/or logistics industry.
• At least 5 years in a management role.
• Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 60% of the time within the New England region.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office for Windows (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
