About the position

Concentric Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Director of Operations to join our client's team in Omaha, NE. The Senior Director of Operations (DO) is charged with professional level work in the management and administration of our client's operations. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and strategic solutions by providing value propositions, including developing business plans that support overall operations and company business objectives. The Senior Director of Operations will identify and initiate best practices for continuous business improvement, ensuring the success and efficiency of operations within the assigned territory. This position entails highly responsible and complex administrative work for the leadership team within the organization. The Senior Director of Operations will work closely with peers in other territories and manage three to five Regional Operations Managers, reporting directly to the VP of Operations. A good understanding of operational business functions is essential, along with proven experience in strategic planning and business development. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, excellent written, oral, and client-facing communication skills are crucial for this role. Additionally, the candidate should possess experience in project management, excellent organization and leadership skills, and knowledge of complex budgets. Familiarity with data analysis, performance metrics, and IT and business structure is also required. The Senior Director of Operations will collaborate with the leadership team to create, administer, and implement operational business development strategies and tactics for the company. They will seek out, source, and identify relevant resources for operations and business development, monitor market needs, trends, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to consult with executive leadership and other internal teams for solution development. This role will also involve managing relationships with vendors and clients, delivering presentations for large scope projects, and coordinating with Regional Operations Managers to ensure an excellent client experience across all interactions. The Senior Director will conduct monthly training with other Directors of Operations for Regional Operations Managers and their staff, complete performance appraisals, and respond to after-hours emergencies related to system failures or other serious issues.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to create, administer, and implement operational business development strategies and tactics for the company
  • Seek out, source, and identify relevant resources for operations and business development
  • Monitor market needs, trends, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to consult with executive leadership and other internal teams for solution development
  • Work with the management team to review proposals, SOWs, and develop regional budgets
  • Manage, maintain, and create new relationships with vendors and clients to ensure sustainable business relationships
  • Communicate all client and employment issues, in detail, to the leadership team and present solutions
  • Deliver presentations for large scope projects, future growth, and quarterly meetings with clients within your respective region
  • Create and submit detailed reports with monthly and quarterly revenue and expenses
  • Coordinate with Regional Operations Managers to ensure an excellent client experience across all client interactions from needs assessments through delivery and follow-up
  • Work with company technologies to develop clients, manage staff, evaluate data, and resolve system issues
  • Conduct monthly training with other Directors of Operations for Regional Operations Managers and their staff
  • Complete performance appraisals for Regional Operations Managers and review performance appraisals with their chain of command
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies related to system failures or other serious issues for troubleshooting and resolution
  • Mentor, train, and develop leaders/managers within the company
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years in operational management, preferably in facility management or related industry
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large teams
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively
  • Proficient in the use of technology and software relevant to facility management operations
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
