About the position
The Senior Director of Retail Development at Circana is responsible for driving the use of Circana's data sets and solutions among manufacturers, particularly for Walmart and Sam's Club. This role focuses on delivering measurable business outcomes, enhancing client satisfaction, and developing new revenue opportunities. The position requires collaboration with various internal teams to ensure offerings meet client needs and drive growth through strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Drive manufacturers' use of Circana data sets and solutions designed for Walmart and Sam's Club.
- Deliver programs to drive insight and identify mutually beneficial business opportunities.
- Engage with internal teams to ensure offerings deliver value to clients and maintain client satisfaction.
- Acquire new clients and accounts to secure a sustainable sales pipeline.
- Develop and deliver programs that enhance manufacturer use of their retail-specific data and solutions.
- Maintain positive customer relationships and become a subject matter expert in Retailer-Manufacturer collaboration.
- Proactively pursue measurable business objectives in partnership with manufacturers and retailers.
- Drive sales and renewals for existing accounts and maintain client relationships.
- Partner with Retail and Manufacturer Teams to develop and execute account plans.
- Act as the main point of contact for manufacturer requests and questions in Northwest Arkansas.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of related experience in retail development or a similar field.
- Experience working with Walmart manufacturers and understanding their relationship with retailers.
- Understanding of the data analytics industry, business model, products, services, and solutions.
- Skilled in Unify+ or DecisionKey software.
- Experience in a CPG or General Merchandise manufacturer or retailer, specifically in sales and category management roles.
- Solid understanding of Walmart Retail Link, Luminate, and Sam's Club MADRID.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
