About the position

The Senior Director of Software Engineering at NewRez LLC is responsible for leading multiple teams in the development and delivery of various software projects, ranging from extra-large to small. This role involves coordinating with business and product leadership to understand project requirements and plan the necessary technology and resources. The director will work closely with project participants to ensure optimal productivity and timely completion of projects, while also collaborating with the architecture team to explore new technologies and solutions. Key responsibilities include overseeing source code development, technical documentation, and quality management processes, as well as managing a team of senior software engineers and business analysts. The position requires a strong background in software engineering and experience in leading high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead several teams from inception-to-delivery of various projects.
• Understand product/project/feature requirements from business partners and plan technology and resources accordingly.
• Work with project participants to provide optimal solutions and maximize productivity.
• Coordinate with the architecture team to drive new ideas and technologies.
• Review code and propose optimal coding and architectural solutions with DEV team members.
• Manage source code development, technical documentation, and software configuration processes.
• Supervise Sr Software Engineers, Lead Software Engineers, Principal Software Engineers, and Senior Business Analysts.

Requirements

• Related degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in leading and managing multiple software engineering teams.
• Proficiency in .Net Core, C#, VB, Azure Technologies, Angular 10+, SQL Server, Visual Code, and Visual Studio.
