About the position

The Senior Director of Solutions Design is a pivotal leadership role at Iron Mountain, responsible for creating innovative and cost-effective supply chain and logistics solutions tailored to meet the needs of current and prospective clients. This position involves leading the Solutions Design team, collaborating with various stakeholders, and driving operational efficiency while ensuring alignment with business objectives and client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives for scalable logistics solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of tailored supply chain solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the Solutions Design team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Engage directly in solution development and operational improvement projects as needed.
  • Act as a key point of contact for high-profile clients to understand their logistics challenges.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, IT, and Finance teams to ensure solution viability.
  • Stay current with industry trends and drive innovation within the design process.
  • Oversee cost modeling and financial analysis of solutions to ensure profitability.
  • Continuously improve design methodologies and establish KPIs to monitor success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract logistics or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior solutions design or leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in supply chain modeling and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency with solutions design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Llamasoft).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing client relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leadership and/or business development is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with MOST/MTM framework.
