About the position

The Senior Director of Space Mission Operations will lead a significant NASA program, overseeing both payload and flight operations while providing continuous support to the International Space Station. This role requires exceptional management skills to coordinate a large team of 400 individuals, including full-time employees and subcontractors, ensuring effective operations and strategic oversight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee both segments of MOSSI II, including payload and flight operations.
• Provide 24/7 support to the International Space Station.
• Manage a diverse team of 400 individuals, including 200 full-time employees and 200 subcontractor personnel.
• Handle technical management aspects in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Track profit and loss for the program.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in program management and customer interfacing roles.
• Prior experience supporting NASA operations.
• Minimum of 9 years in supervisory or management roles.
• Experience in tracking profit and loss.
• Strong business acumen.
• Technical software knowledge.
