About the position

The Senior Director of Portfolio & Access Marketing is a pivotal leadership role within the Oncology Commercial team at Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals Inc. This position is designed for a seasoned professional who will report directly to the Senior Vice President & Franchise Head of the Oncology Business Unit. As a member of the Oncology Business Unit leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall sales performance and marketing strategies related to Portfolio & Access Marketing. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in building and executing comprehensive marketing plans in collaboration with various cross-functional partners. In this role, the Senior Director will work closely with the US Oncology Marketing Teams to align both short-term and long-term commercial strategies. The ability to foster collaboration across different functions is essential to ensure the successful execution of programs and resources that support the Oncology Business Unit. The position also involves identifying cross-brand opportunities, developing solutions tailored for customers, and enhancing the overall market approach of Ipsen Oncology. The Senior Director will lead business analytics efforts, including the development of performance tracking dashboards and financial forecasts, ensuring that analytics support brand strategies effectively. This role will also involve monitoring sales performance, conducting assessments in line with managed markets strategies, and leading account planning projects to ensure execution excellence. Additionally, the Senior Director will be responsible for organizing sales conferences and preparing presentations for senior management visits, making this a highly visible and impactful position within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Identify cross-brand opportunities and develop solutions for customers within the Oncology Business Unit.
  • Promote seamless cross-functional collaboration to enhance market offerings.
  • Review and enhance performance tracking dashboards for better analytics.
  • Lead forecast development for financial reviews and ensure access to analytics that support brand strategy.
  • Monitor gross and net sales, conducting channel and payer assessments to align with managed markets strategy.
  • Set up systems to track progress and performance via CRM systems for focused accounts.
  • Lead the integration of new assets into the Oncology Business Unit.
  • Organize and plan sales conferences for Portfolio & Access Marketing, including national and regional meetings.
  • Prepare presentations and materials for senior management visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent; MBA preferred.
  • Biopharma commercial leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in delivering strong results.
  • Significant experience in oncology and/or hematology is ideal.
  • Pharmaceutical sales and/or sales management experience.
  • Effective profit and loss (P&L) management experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of business analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to design and execute tactics that achieve business objectives within a compliant environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically, with potential for international travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical marketing, preferably in oncology.
  • Experience launching a pharmaceutical product and understanding market access.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, e.g., Veeva.
  • Experience with social and digital media marketing.
