About the position
The Senior Director of Program Management oversees the delivery of large-scale programs with multiple workstreams and strategic business goals across various departments and regions. This role is responsible for achieving program outcomes from initiation to close-out, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing risks and stakeholder engagement. The director will lead a team, drive collaboration, and implement changes to enhance program performance while aligning with organizational strategies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of large-scale programs with multiple workstreams and strategic business goals.
- Manage and hold the programs team accountable for results and performance.
- Proactively monitor, identify, and mitigate risks and issues across interdependent programs.
- Ensure compliance of program activities with relevant policies and procedures.
- Engage and align diverse program stakeholders to support long-term development and growth.
- Champion vendor performance standards and direct partnerships and contract negotiations.
- Build organizational capacity and prepare high potentials for growth opportunities.
- Translate business strategy into actionable requirements and ensure products/services meet member expectations.
- Provide guidance for decision-making and create opportunities for expanded decision-making scope.
Requirements
- Minimum six (6) years experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
- Minimum five (5) years experience managing operational budgets or financials.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and minimum fifteen (15) years experience in project management or a directly related field, including minimum eight (8) years program management experience OR minimum eighteen (18) years experience in project management or a directly related field including minimum eight (8) years program management experience.
- Knowledge of Change Management, Negotiation, Applied Data Analysis, Financial Acumen, Business Relationship Management, Conflict Resolution, Project Management, Risk Assessment, and Quality Assurance Process.
Nice-to-haves
- Four (4) years data analytics experience.
