About the position
The Senior Director of Program Management at Kaiser Permanente is responsible for overseeing the delivery of large-scale programs with multiple workstreams and strategic business goals. This role involves managing program outcomes from initiation to close-out, ensuring compliance with policies, and guiding teams to achieve results. The director will also engage with diverse stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of large-scale programs with multiple workstreams and strategic business goals.
- Build organizational capacity and prepare high potentials for growth opportunities.
- Provide a framework for soliciting and acting on performance feedback.
- Motivate and empower teams to maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
- Engage strategic, cross-functional business units to champion and drive support for business plans.
- Review and modify program plans to manage scope and staffing for complex initiatives.
- Monitor, identify, and mitigate program risks and issues across multiple programs.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures in program activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to guide program development.
- Champion vendor performance standards and direct contract negotiations.
Requirements
- Minimum six (6) years experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
- Minimum five (5) years experience managing operational budgets or financials.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and minimum fifteen (15) years experience in project management or a directly related field, including minimum eight (8) years program management experience OR Minimum eighteen (18) years experience in project management or a directly related field including minimum eight (8) years program management experience.
