About The Position

The Senior Director of Program Management at Kaiser Permanente is responsible for overseeing the delivery of large-scale programs with multiple workstreams and strategic business goals. This role involves managing program outcomes from initiation to close-out, ensuring compliance with policies, and guiding teams to achieve results. The director will also engage with diverse stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement within the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum six (6) years experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience managing operational budgets or financials.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and minimum fifteen (15) years experience in project management or a directly related field, including minimum eight (8) years program management experience OR Minimum eighteen (18) years experience in project management or a directly related field including minimum eight (8) years program management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of large-scale programs with multiple workstreams and strategic business goals.
  • Build organizational capacity and prepare high potentials for growth opportunities.
  • Provide a framework for soliciting and acting on performance feedback.
  • Motivate and empower teams to maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Engage strategic, cross-functional business units to champion and drive support for business plans.
  • Review and modify program plans to manage scope and staffing for complex initiatives.
  • Monitor, identify, and mitigate program risks and issues across multiple programs.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures in program activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to guide program development.
  • Champion vendor performance standards and direct contract negotiations.
