About the position

The Senior Director of Public Affairs & Policy at Pernod Ricard will lead efforts to support and influence public policy initiatives that align with the company's global and domestic agenda. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders to advocate for key policy issues, manage public affairs, and represent the company in trade associations. The position requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex governmental landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Support the activities of the Public Affairs function to build the Pernod Ricard and NADL brand among stakeholders in Washington, DC, and key states.
• Develop and implement a strategy to advocate for Pernod Ricard on key policy issues, including lobbying efforts on legislative and regulatory policies.
• Manage public affairs related to economic development supporting Pernod Ricard's American distilleries and deepen relationships with stakeholders.
• Represent Pernod Ricard in trade associations and partnerships, influencing policy and building alliances with interested groups and companies.
• Identify emerging risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies, and develop a risk analysis brief.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in government relations, government service, federal and state campaigns, and/or social policy advocacy.
